This is a tutorial on how to program the alt and print screen button in Visual Basic .NET

Let's say you have a Button on a form, that when it is clicked, it triggers the combination of alt + print screen key on the keyboard to capture the active form. Please note that capturing the full screen using this method is not supported by this method. Only the alt + printscreen combination is supported at this point. For a tutorial on how to capture the full screen please see this tutorial.

The following code send the alt + print screen key and save the image to your computer.

Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
'send keys with Alt key
SendKeys.SendWait("%({PRTSC})")
My.Computer.Clipboard.GetImage().Save("C:\form.jpg")

End Sub
